ZetrOZ is working with the Michigan Association of Self-insurers to make

TRUMBULL, Connecticut, October 31, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – ZetrOZ Systems unveiled at the Michigan Self-Insurers Association Fall Conference 2022 on October 27 about how the ZetrOZ sam® wearable device helps patients get back to work faster after soft tissue injuries and prevent more serious injuries from occurring.

ZetrOZ Systems works with an organization of self-insured employers on how to educate companies about preventing and responding to accidents and injuries in the workplace. The sam® device has been shown in more than 30 clinical trials to provide significant improvements in joint function, increased pain reduction and better vasodilation – all of which ultimately contribute to accelerating healing and increasing the integrity of recovered soft tissue. The sam® line of products has also been shown to relieve pain from soft tissue injuries in the upper neck and back, shoulder conditions, and knee osteoarthritis.

“Sam® is already helping thousands of lives a day, and we are honored to work with MSIA and Michigan self-insured companies to provide effective treatment for workplace injuries,” said Dr. George Lewis, CEO of ZetrOZ Systems. “It’s extremely important to us to help heal employee injuries, relieve pain, improve long-term outcomes and ultimately get people to work faster.”

Statistics show the need for better care of employees, especially in self-insured enterprises. US workers suffered 2.1 million injuries in 2020, according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, and 82% of workers at large companies were covered by self-funded insurance in 2021.

There is also a need for effective pain relief without potentially addictive and dangerous drugs. The United States spends about $ 1 trillion on opioid use disorders and fatal opioid overdose (2018, Centers for Disease Control and Council of Economic Advisors). Innovations such as the sam®x1 ultrasonic analgesic device provide wireless long-term ultrasound therapy to heal injuries and relieve pain without medication.

Michigan Self-Insurers Association [MSIA] is a non-profit organization founded in 1952 that has worked tirelessly over the past 70 years to educate self-insured employers on issues related to workers’ compensation. With the goal of reducing and ultimately preventing workplace accidents and injuries, MSIA and sam® are uniquely geared towards providing employees with the tools and resources to protect themselves and their livelihoods.

MSIA’s board of directors includes DTE, Meijer, Marathon Oil, and representatives of many other self-insured employers, and has been a proud partner of Kids’ Chance of Michigan since 2013.

“Our sam® range of products offers patients a way to alleviate and reduce workplace injuries and pain without resorting to opioids or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, which have been shown to be potentially more harmful than helpful. Now these hard-working men and women have a chance to be healed safely and properly in the comfort of their own home, ”said Lewis.
